Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it actually reaches the earth?
During that time the eagle will fly to some high place and wait for the stormy winds to come. When the stormy wind reaches where the eagle is waiting, the eagle will opens its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it. This will make the eagle glide above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle will be soaring above it.
You know what the eagle is actually doing? It does not escape the storm but it simply uses the storm to lift itself higher. It rises with the help of the winds that bring the storm.
When the storms of life come upon us, (all of us will experience them) we can rise above them by setting our minds and our belief toward God. The storms do not have to overcome us. We can allow God's power to lift us above them.
God enables us to ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy, failure and disappointment in our lives. We can soar above the storm, with our faith.
Burdens of life cannot weigh us down, if we know how to handle them.
